I am Adam Gecker. I have lived in Manhattan my entire life thus far, though I have traveled to many different places. It is such a passion of mine to travel. For instance, when I travel it helps me to have an escape for times when I have stressful situations. Also, it is nice to see what it is like in an area that I am not familiar with. Some states I have been to are New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Florida, Georgia and Indiana. I would like to talk about my experience during a trip I took to Indiana. The reason I went there was to consider entering Vincennes University.
They seemed to have some good curriculums, so it caught my interest. I phoned them to arrange an appointment to discuss what their college could offer me. At first, I was considering flying there from New York, but the flights were a little over five hundred dollars. Plus, I learned that the closest flight to the University would be about sixty – five miles away. It would probably cost over one hundred for a cab to get there. Check out my neighborhood!

Another possibility would be taking a bus, which would only cost me one hundred and eighteen dollars round trip. I chose to take Greyhound bus. During the trip, it seemed like they were taking me all over the United States. I later realized they didn’t even know I was going to Indiana. I was being transferred from one bus to another. When I showed one of the bus drivers my ticket, he told he was going to Seattle. Apparently, they arranged the wrong route for me. So, I met with a customer service person, and she rearranged my route. However, if I were to take this bus during the same night, it would take me about sixty miles away from where I needed to go. Because of that, they offered to pay for a cab to cover the distance to Vincennes University. There was another option I had which was to take a bus the next day that would leave me one block from the college. Also, I would be put up in a hotel for the night. I chose the first option. In hindsight, I should have chosen the latter option.
When I finally arrived at the University, I was very tired. They gave me a tour of the campus, and then I met with a counselor. Then, I needed to decide if I wanted to stay the night there or take the bus back to New York the same day. I chose the latter option. I wanted to get home so badly from this excruciating trip. I just wanted to be back in my own bed. I will never forget this trip. Some other places that I have been to are Kansas City, California, Las Vegas, New Mexico, Jamaica, France and Brazil.
