About Me

My name is Seretse Smith and I am a 30-year-old freeelance artist/graphic designer. I am also an aspiring cartoonist and writer who is in the process of completing my major in web design.
I presently live in Brooklyn New York in Bedford Stuyvesant. Brooklyn can be a very cultured borough, with it's poetry and jazz clubs and the Coney Island historic beach front and amusement park. There is a lot of food for thought here.
Inspiration for a starving artist can be found on every wall (graffiti or murals), every subway car, and in every restaurant. It is a culturally diverse neighborhood, consisting of black Americans, Caribbean people, Latinos and Caucasians.
Here people do what they need to do to survive and necessity is truly the mother of creation. This is at the root of why an artist needs to create, for necessity. My community, my home, fuels me.
Personal Statement
At this time I am still accepting commission requests, so please feel free to contact me. My art is also for sale on ebay.

interesting.
For displayed here on this site are bits and pieces of me: my hopes, my
dreams, my
